Energy Performance Contracts are permitted underneath NH RSA 21-I:19-d. It allows public entities such as schools and municipalities to enter into an agreement with an Energy Service Company (ESCO) to improve energy efficiency with little to no upfront capital costs. Instead the improvements are paid over a period of time (typically 10 years) through the energy cost savings. The result... Lower energy use, lower energy cost, lower emissions, better outcome.
