Local Energy Solutions Webinar

Community Power - NH's Aggregation Law & Lessons from National Leaders

When: Monday, November 4, Noon
Register: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/5224880756834988812
Blurb: Senate Bill 286, the Community Power Law (relative to municipal aggregation) went into effect in New Hampshire on October 1, 2019. The law enables local governments (cities, towns, counties) to create new Community Power programs that supply energy to the residents and businesses in those communities. This webinar will answer the questions:
  1. What is Community Power (also known as “community choice aggregation” or “municipal aggregation”)?
  2. How can my community or business participate in the implementation of Community Power?
The webinar will also present a case study from one of the country's leading aggregation programs, Redwood Coast Energy Authority in Humboldt County, California (for background, download and read the RCEA Implementation plan). To read more about Community Power in NH, see content from NH Business Review, NHPR, and Clean Energy NH.

Webinar Panelists:
•    Host/Moderator: Henry Herndon, Clean Energy NH
•    Scott Albert, GDS Associates
•    Matthew Marshall, Executive Director, Redwood Coast Energy Authority
NHPR - 'A Whole New Industry': N.H. to work with neighboring states on offshore wind in Gulf of Maine

New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts will work together on large-scale offshore wind development in the Gulf of Maine. Stakeholders from the three states met in Manchester talk about the possibilities and obstacles for that new industry. Read full article here.

For facilities and energy managers who are C&I customers of NHSaves utilities.  These intensive trainings highlight key points from Lakes Region Community College’s popular multi-day energy efficiency trainings.

Take one, two or all three of these NHSaves-sponsored trainings.  Registration required with a nominal $20 or $15 advance co-pay for each of these $160 programs.  Includes lunch, course materials and PDH certificate.
